DEMAND FOR HYGIENE ESSENTIALS

There are several factors that contribute to the high demand for basic hygiene essentials. These include the cost, availability of products in organizations where people seek assistance, and the lack of coverage in programs that help those in need.

We strive to provide Period Supplies as well Basic Hygiene Essentials to our partner agencies who are able to put them in the hands of those that need them!

With your help, we're able to provide the necessities of life, that are not covered by government assistance programs, that most people take for granted such as period supplies, laundry soap, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper and other personal care hygiene essentials.

  • Hygiene essentials such as period supplies, soap, toothpaste and deodorant are not covered under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

  • Research has shown that one in three low-income American families struggles to afford basic non-food household goods—including products related to personal care.

  • Common coping strategies used by struggling families, such as brushing teeth without toothpaste or washing without soap, can increase the likelihood of health and wellness issues. We provide essentials that ensure basic human needs are being met.
